Why The Change?

Oh my! So much can change in 5 years, yet so much can stay the same.

Five years ago, I was motivated to start a blog, Healthy Christian Mom, encourage and provide resources for Christian Mom. It was a very exciting journey. I met some awesome moms from all over the world. Although the goals were to provided resources, I also learned so much about Faith, Family, and Health.

During that time I was also faced with a lot of health challenges – serious health challenges, that made it difficult to run a blog that was about being a healthy Christian mom. I was a hard pill to swallow because I was sure the Lord lead me to start the blog. I took about a little over a year off to focus on adjusting to my health issue and family. During that time, I tried to figure out what direction the site would go.

A few months ago, I asked the Lord for guidance. What am I supposed to do? Should I shut down the site? I know I am supposed to be helping moms? Within 5 minutes, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Well not literally like a ton a brick because you know that could be fatal.

I have been studying personal growth for over 25 years. I started as a college student and have studied continuously. I helped friends and colleagues with developing and implementing growth plans. It’s second nature, I didn’t see it. I am an Independent Certified John Maxwell Coach, Teacher, and Speaker.

As moms, sometimes it’s hard to find time for personal growth. We have the responsibilities of “Mommyhood”, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, friend, employee… and the list goes on. Do we really have time to work on our own growth? Of course, we do. Sometimes we have to find it, other times we have to create it.

That’s where I come in. I help you find the time by implementing simple systems. then we put a growth plan in place.

So although the feel of the site is similar, there is a shift in content. There will still be Christian mom resources because that is who I am. There will also be Health resources under the umbrella of Self-care. Mostly we will be focusing on growth. Growing in Christ and Growing in Life

Looking forward to growing together!
